HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre — a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. Honoring the incredible legacy of Black Power in the San Francisco Bay Area, the de Young museum is proud to announce a line-up of programming and partners tied to celebrating the landmark exhibition Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power 1963–1983. Featuring renowned artists, performers, musicians, activists, civic leaders, and others, these programs welcome special guests from around the Bay Area to bring Black Power to the forefront of our winter programming season. In addition, the de Young museum is offering free admission to the entire museum, including free entry to Soul of a Nation, for all visitors on four Saturdays throughout the run of the exhibition.

The SF Beer Week Opening Gala is the largest, most anticipated, and prestigious annual gathering of the Northern California craft beer community. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Chinatown. The Chinatown Community Street Fair takes place the weekend of the Chinese New Year Parade. At the fair, experience Chinese cultural arts such as Chinese folk dancing, opera, drumming and much more at the entertainment stage on Washington St. below Grant Ave.

Jo Koy is one of the most popular comedians in the world today. He exudes a relatable vibe that has helped him break records for ticket sales everywhere from San Diego to Honolulu. It’s Valentine’s Day at The Palace Theater and Cupid’s Arrow is aiming for you and your sweetheart! There will be thousands of orchid flowers and plants on display, with judging from the American Orchid Society, as well as plants for sale from members of the San Francisco Orchid Society as well as over 23 international nurseries. The annual Noise Pop Festival takes place every February across San Francisco. The indie loving showcase fest also dabbles in art and film along with some of the very best in upcoming musical artists. If you’re planning a winter-time trip, this is a unique way to experience the bars, clubs, and hipster joints of the city. Noise Pop Music & Arts Festival takes the best venues in the Bay and collectively turns them into your personal festival ground. Throughout the week there are different films, art shows, happy hours, and concerts all over SF and the East Bay.
