HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre — a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography.

Honoring the incredible legacy of Black Power in the San Francisco Bay Area, the de Young museum is proud to announce a line-up of programming and partners tied to celebrating the landmark exhibition Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power 1963–1983. Featuring renowned artists, performers, musicians, activists, civic leaders, and others, these programs welcome special guests from around the Bay Area to bring Black Power to the forefront of our winter programming season. In addition, the de Young museum is offering free admission to the entire museum, including free entry to Soul of a Nation, for all visitors on four Saturdays throughout the run of the exhibition.

The SF Beer Week Opening Gala is the largest, most anticipated, and prestigious annual gathering of the Northern California craft beer community. Fans can enter FanFest using any of the following Oracle Park entrances: Willie Mays Gate, Lefty O’Doul Gate, 2nd and King Street Gate. Marina Gate will be closed. Ballpark access will not be available from the Giants Dugout Store or Public House. Don’t forget to download the free entry pass to this year’s Fanfest. The first 10,000 fans to use their mobile pass to enter the ballpark will receive a Giants Mystery Item.

Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Chinatown. The Chinatown Community Street Fair takes place the weekend of the Chinese New Year Parade. At the fair, experience Chinese cultural arts such as Chinese folk dancing, opera, drumming and much more at the entertainment stage on Washington St. below Grant Ave.
