I didn’t originally plan to have a career in IT, having majored in liberal arts at the University of Leeds, a few hours up the freeway from my hometown of London, England. I considered working in journalism or academia, but once a friend got me started with an IT job, that was that.
Today, I am a partner and the Chief Operating Officer with Intivix. I have been with the company since 2014, previously working in the role of Service Director. I have worked in Information Technology since 2001, with particular experience in the healthcare, e-commerce, and legal fields. My background is in Windows and Linux systems administration leading into technical and team management.
Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks, running, biking, and spending time outdoors. I spend my free time reading, watching movies, and trying the latest and greatest in craft beer and coffee.
Although I haven’t picked up the sticks in two decades, I was once an active drummer, playing in several bands. Today, I enjoy upbeat music for exercising, and classical and indie music for relaxing.
At Intivix, I work with a team of engineers to ensure they have the resources they need to provide excellent service and maintain a fulfilling, challenging career path. I also liaise with our vendors to ensure solid, mutually beneficial partner relationships, and our clients to ensure that Intivix is meeting and exceeding their technology and service needs.
Currently, I focus on business and strategic operations at Intivix in addition to heading up the Service team of field and help desk engineers. I find working at Intivix to be fulfilling, challenging, and full of opportunity – our company strives to maintain the agility and independence of a small business while growing and scaling our engineer and technology base to better serve our clients.
